Minneapolis-St Paul Air Reserve Station

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station (MSP IAP ARS) is located on the North end of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in Minnesota. We are located near historic Fort Snelling; a military fort built in the 1820s at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers and was primarily responsible for protecting the territory from Canadian and British encroachment. In addition, the state of Minnesota is known for 10,000 lakes. However, there are actually about 13,000 lakes. Many of these are located in the greater Twin Cities area. This means more outdoor activities to choose from. Furthermore, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon was created and developed in Minnesota.

The Minneapolis/St Paul area is not a military town, as there is no active duty base located within the state. However, this is an area that supports the military in many different ways. Because there is a large presence of Army Guard units, the state of Minnesota is active in supporting the military, retirees, veterans, and their families.
